For iPhone · Launching soon

Out of office. Actually.

PTO Mode blocks your work apps while you're off, so you stop opening Slack out of habit. Set your dates once — we handle the willpower.

No spam. One email when we launch, then we leave you alone. (It's kind of our thing.)

54% of U.S. workers can't fully unplug on PTO. This is for them.

Everyone else blocks Instagram so you can work. We block work so you can live.

How it works

Three taps, then actually off.

No dashboards to babysit. Set it before you leave and forget it exists.

  1. Pick your work apps

Choose Slack, Teams, Outlook, Gmail — or start from our work-app pack.

  2. Tell it when you're off

Set your dates once. It arms and disarms on its own — time-zone safe.

  3. Actually unplug

Open a blocked app out of habit and hit a calm shield instead. That’s the whole point.

What you get

Built to protect your time off — not to nag you.

  • PTO sessions with auto-arm

Tell it “I’m off June 10–17.” It arms itself and stands down the moment you’re back. Time-zone safe, so travel doesn’t break it.

  • A branded shield, not a scold

Tap a blocked app and you get a calm full-screen reminder: “You’re on PTO. This can wait.” No cartoons, no guilt.

  • Emergency Pass

Real life happens. A couple of deliberate-friction passes per trip unlock one app for 15 minutes — enough for the true emergency, not the habit.

  • Evenings and weekends, too.

The same engine guards your nights and weekends — block work apps after 6pm and Saturday-to-Sunday, so “off the clock” finally means it.

Why this matters

Pricing

Priced for real time off.

A few trips a year shouldn’t mean a monthly bill. One price, once a year — never per trip.

For Teams

A real right to disconnect — as a benefit, not surveillance.

When PTO is approved in your HR system, PTO Mode arms for those dates and disarms on return. Employee-controlled, works on personal phones, and you only ever see anonymous, aggregate adoption.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Can’t I just turn it off?

Yes. PTO Mode is a speed bump against habit, not a prison — and that honesty is the point. The friction is enough to break the reflex of opening Slack without trapping you when something genuinely needs you.

Does my employer see what I’m doing?

Never. Individual usage stays on your device. If your company offers PTO Mode as a benefit, admins only ever see anonymous, aggregate adoption — no per-person visibility, ever.

Your next trip can be the one you don’t work through.

I built PTO Mode because I kept opening Teams on my honeymoon. The manual fix — a borrowed Screen Time passcode and two Shortcuts I deleted when I got home — worked, and was miserable. This is that, in three taps.
